-Adriano de Souza, left the Sea of Hawaii, carried by Brazilian fans, on the way to the podium, was embraced by the fans, by other surfers, mainly by the adversary in the Final, Gabriel Medina.

-He received also the affection of Medina's family; the emotional Kiss of his fiancé, Patrícia, was the recognition of a decade of dedication , in the elite of World Surfing.

-He left from nothing, he left from zero, he lived in a favela in Guarujá(SP), and today is, became who he is, and helped his family, improving the conditions  of life, than it is a victory of life.

-Before of lifting the Trophy, Mineirinho wrote down on his surfboard, a tribute to Ricardo dos Santos, ex-surfer, from who he was friend, and was murdered in January of this year, in Santa Catarina.

-I dedicated this Trophy to Ricardo dos Santos, I did a tribute for him, it is here on my...
on my fist forever, I will carry his soul with me forever, wherever I will be, I know he will be together because I had very respect for him here in the Earth and I know he is up there.

-Ricardo had Mineirinho has and idol, and Mineirinho has Ricardo as an idol, than was reciprocal.
This feeling of both and for sure Ricardo is cheering, will cheer forever, he will always send good vibrations to Mineirinho, will always send good energies - she smiles...

-At each victory, Mineirinho knocked in the arm, and appointed upwards, and so he went to the high, of the podium.
It was a historic day of Brazilian surfing, Adriano de Souza, o Mineirinho, besides of conquering the World Title, broke other taboo in 45 years of Pipe Masters, never a Brazilian had won here, and here is Adriano de Souza, the Mineirinho, with the Crown of King of Hawaii, the temple of World Surfing.
