G. Medina(BRA)in his opening wave score 5.33 and later 7.67 and his 5th wave replaced 5.33 for
8.17. J. Smith(SAF)only surfed two weak wave 2.83 and 1.67.
G. Medina advanced to Round 4, and J. Smith(SAF) is out of the stage.

average wave score-   1.72                               /the best wave - 2.57 ( 4 ) - K. Asing (HAW)

K. Asing(HAW)in his opening swave score 1.00 and later replace for 2.43 and other wave -2.57.
B. Durbidge(AUS)fell down in his opening wave, was injured, and received only. 0.17
 K. Asing(HAW)advanced to Roun4, and unfortunately B. Durbidge was taken to the hospital.

CJ Hobgood(USA)in the opening wave of the heat scored 5.17 and later 1.43 ; I.Ferreira(BRA)
surfed weak waves.

K. Slater(USA) surfed a wave 3.93 and later the best in the heat 9.50.; M. Bourez(PYF)surfed a wave  3.13, and later on 4.50 .

M. Fanning(AUS)in his opening wave in the heat scored 8.47 and in the second; 3.67.
J. O'Brien surfe two weak waves.: 1.20 and 1.50.
M. Fanning(AUS) advanced to Round 4.

average wave score -  5.27                                   the best wave-  9.93 ( 4 ) - JJ Florence(HAW)

JJ Florence(HAW) in his opening wave scored 9.33  and later at fouth wave 9.93.
T. Burrow(AUS)surfed two weak waves: 0.83 and 1.00.
JJ Florence(HAW)advanced to Round 4 .

average wave score - 3.40                                    the best wave-  5.00 (6) -M. Ho (HAW)

M. Ho(HAW)in his opening wave scored 1.93 and F. Toledo turned the heat, with score 4.67;
Later on M. Ho(HAW) surfed a wave of 5.00 and turned the heat again. F. Toledo(BRA) only surfed
three waves and added up : 6.67 -4.67 and 2.00.
M. Ho(HAW)advanced to Round 4 and F. Toledo(BRA)was out of the dispute of World Title.

average wave score - 4.07                                     the best wave - 8.93 (2) -J. Parkinson(AUS)

J. Parkinson(AUS) in his second wave scored 8.93 and in the fourth wave 1.93. K. Otton(AUS) only scored .077 in his opening wave and later 0.20. Later on K. Otton(AUS) replaced both grades for 4.50 and 0.90 but not enough to turn the heat.
J. Parkinson advanced to Round 4.



9.
average wave score - 7.17                                      the best wave - 10.00(4) -S. Zietz(HAW)

In his opening wave in the heat J. Flores(FRA) scored 8.17 and 5.60 and later replaced 5.60 for 6.27;
S. Zietz(HAW) only surfed weak waves in the opening of the heat, but in his third wave scored the
best grade till now in Round 3 -10.00; and neede only 4.44 to turn the heat but did not find this wave
and was defeated by his rival even with the best wave in the heat.




10.
average wave score -7.72                                       the best wave - 9.23 (2) - J. Wilson(AUS)

J. Wilson(AUS) in his opening wave scored 3.50 and in his second a good grade: 9.23.
A. Melling(AUS) did not surf a wave till this time but in his first wave score 7.83 and needed 4.91 to turn the heat and find a wave of 6.83 and turned the heat .
At final J. Wilson(AUS)turned the heat again with 5.93 wave , now A. Melling(AUS)needed 6.93 to turn the heat and in last minutes found the wave and score 7.90 and turned the heat again.
A. Melling(AUS)advanced to Round 4. and J. Wilson(AUS)was out of the dispute of World Title.



11.
average wave score -2.72                                        the best wave -5.00 (4) -J. Kerr(AUS)

J. Kerr(AUS) in his opening wave in the heat score only 2.67 and A. Buchan(AUS). J. Kerr(AUS) in his fourth wave scored 5.00 and than A. Buchan(AUS) needed 5.90 to turn the heat but did not find the wave for.
J. Kerr(AUS)advanced to Round 4.



12.
average wave score  -3.68                                       the best wave -3.68  (6)-A. de Souza(BRA)

Adriano in the opening wave of the heat scored a weak wave 0.83 and later scored 3.83 and 4.43 and G. Hall(IRL) still did not find a wave., but later found weak waves: 2.83 and 2.87. A. de Souza(BRA)
replaced 3.83 for 5.57.
A. de Souza(BRA) advanced to Round 4.




Highlights -

In the heat 6,-F. Toledo(BRA) was defeated by M.Ho(HAW)for small difference.

In the heat 9-S, Zietz(HAW)scored a 10.00 and was defeated by J. Flores(FRA).

The  heat 10 was the best dispute, the heat turned over many times, and at final., J. Wilson was
defeated .
