Even before the best surfers of the World enter in action, tomorrow, in Saquarema, the Oi Rio Pro will already have a high level competition. Today, at 10:00 am, a Trial with four surfers will define the last Wild Card to the fourth stage of the Championship Tour. And the heat mixes names with history in the Circuit and promises of Brazilian surfing: Raoni Monteiro, Lucas Silveira, Lucas Chumbo and Yago Dora.

Raoni, at 35 years old, disputed eight seasons in the World elite. In the middle of 2015, was caught in a antidoping test and suspended by WSL for 20 months. After disputed some national competitions, the local of Saquarema wants to take advantage of his knowledge of waves of Itauna to receive the Wild Card.

-I will surf at home, joyful and without pressure, however I want to win the heat, of course. I am calm and with good surfboards. It is a great chance of participating of the main event. It will be nice to review the people again.

Another surfer of Saquarema,  will also try his place, even for just a stage, in the elite of surfing. Lucas Chumbo at 21 years old, has become known as big rider. He was indicated recently in three categories in the  Big Wave Awards and dreams to be World Champion of Big Waves, but wants to show that is able to shine in the "marolas"-small waves.
-I trained a lot in California. I am so prepared and much anxious. My dream is one day to enter in the CT.  If I pass  the Trial, I will feel a little taste of this.

The other two surfers of the Trial are the surfer of Rio de Janeiro, who lives in Florianópolis Lucas Silveira, at 21 years old, that already was Junior World Champion, and the surfer of Santa Catarina Yago Dora, at 20. Both are trained by Leandro Dora, father of Yago and coach of Adriano de Souza too, and they usually  surf together.
