Two-time World Chapion, the Hawaiian John John Florence defeated the Brazilian Filipe Toledo in the Final, and clinched the title in Bells Beach, in Austrália, in the World Circuit of Surfing. However, it was necessary to hold the breath, because Filipinho, with the priority surfe the last wave on 10 seconds remaining to the final of the heat. The score of 5.90, however was not enough for the Brazilian , and Florence clinched the traditional thophy of Bells- so desired within the World Circuit
(14.30 x 13.83). The Hawaiian, also, took the leadership of World Championship from Italo Ferreira, that was eliminated in the Quarterfinals.
Now in the Ranking, John John Florence adds 16,085 points while the Brazilin Italo Ferreira(14.745) na the South African Jordy Smith -12,170. With the second place Filipe Toledo(11,110) the fourth and
Gabriel Medina, that was defeated in the Quarterfinals took place of the fifth position with 9.490 points.
-The third stage of the World Circuit will be hold in Bali, with the window between May 13 and 25th.

The so awaited "50 year storm" arrived in Bells Beach and brought waves of 4 meters till Final of the second stage of World Circuit. Gabriel Medina was the first Brazilian to enter in action and showed why is one of the surfers most completed of the Tour. With the right of the second best score of the championship(9.10), the two-time World Champion defeated the Australian Reef Heazlewood by 16.03 to 7.80, and guaranteed place to the Round of 16. The number 1 of world currently and winner of the stage, Italo Ferreira defeated the also local Freestone for advaning in the competititon.
Seaching a place in the Quarterfinals, Medina will face William Cardoso, that overcame the Brazilian duel against Yago Dora by 12.20 to 9.63. And Italo will face the French Jeremy Flores, that defeated the Hawaiian Ezekiel Lau.
The possibility of arriving na historic swell in the South of Austrália, created a kind of play inspired in the film "Point break". In the classic of 90's, that the main actors - role in play -Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze, a gang of surfers prepared themselves to catch na historic swell the only happens each 50 years in Bells Beach.
With all the expectation created, the waves arrived in the penultimate day of competition and difficult because of the Wind. Medina entered the heat against Reef accelerating, taking one after another and changing scores. After adding a 6 and 6.93 the two-time World Champion surfed the best wave of the championship so far, hits tree rips in sequence and with a snap to take 9.10. the highest score of competition. In combination, Reef could not make more than 7.80 in the sum.
It was a good wave. Only remember of a big wall in front of mine and with time to manuever. It is what we need: hit the first manuever, read the wave and have another opportunity. In this kind of condictions is so difficult and Reef is a dangerous surfer. He surfed very well in Gold Coast. It was a good heat. I love when there are waves like that and I think we will have a good final of championship said Gabriel on interview to World Surf League.

With 9.10 Medina magaged to hold for some time the best score of the championship. But the Hawaiian John John Forence overcame Gabriel by scoring a 9.50 in the win over Jadson Andre by 17.67 to 11.2. In the next heat, Italo started slowly but found in the second half of the show the surf that earned him the title in Bells last year. With the total of 13.76 points the World Number 1 overcame Freestone, who only got 9.10 in the sum of two best scores.
"I have great memories from last year. I love surfing with my back to the wave here, you can do great manuevers in the best sessions of the wave. It is very fun. I am looking forward to by good time" Said the current World Number one.
In addition to Italo, Gabriel and William, three other Brazilian have also ranked for the Round of 16:

The two-time World Champion, Gabriel Medina overcame with class over the "50 year storm", that brought waves of four meters. On this Thursday, in Bells Beach, in Austrália, the Brazilian entered the Sea and defeated the Australian Reef Heazlewood by 16.03 to 7.80, on the second stage of World Circuit of Surfing. So, guaranteed place to the Round of 16 of the championship.
Worth ponting out, that the region where is held the championship is known by having waves of 12 o 15 ft, that only happens in 50 years in Bells Beach.
Medina had to be intellingent to conquer the place to the next Round of the competition. He surfed the best wave of the championship till now, got three rips in sequence and a snap.
It was a good wave. Only remember of big wall in front of mine and with time to manuevers. It is what we need: hit the first manuever, read the wave and have another oportunity.
