Breathed Carissa Moore has remote chances of Title / WSL

reporterpoli@lancenet.com.br
The Hawaiian Carissa Moore(HAW)defeated the American Lakey Peterson in the Final(16.70 to 14.50)and clinched the Title of the stage of Hossegor of WCT. The leader is the Australian Sally Fitzgibbons, with 52,900 points. Moore is in fourth place, with 47,300, and still dream with the "fourth" World Championship.
Now, is only remaining a stage for defining the World Champion, the Maui Women's Pro, between November 25th and December 06, in Hawaii.
The chances of Carissa and of the Australian Stephanie Gilmore(5th)are the most remote, because both need the victory in the event and a combination of results of the three surfers that are in front of them. Fitzgibbons and the deputy Tyler Wright can not arrive to the Semifinals and the third placed, the American Courtney Conlogue, can not go to the Final.
-This year was very crazy for me and clinch a victory here was incredible. -said Carissa Moore.

Light Gabriel Medina clinched the championship for 3 times in stage of France/WSL
The Brazilian Gabriel Medina tried in every ways to dispel expectations about the possible achievement of the bichampionship of the World Circuit of surfing (WCT) this year whenever asked about it in the stage of Hossegor (FRA). And the strategy worked. Without pressure, the star defeated the Hawaiian Sebastian Zietz in the final by 16.00 to 9.30 yesterday to ensure for the third time the title of the French dispute . And he showed that he is still alive in the fight for the cup.
Remaining only two stages to the end of the season, Medina adds 40,750 points and is the third place in the World Ranking. The leader is the Hawaiian John John Florence, with 49,900, followed by South African Jordy Smith, with 47,600. The next stop will be in Peniche (POR), starting on October 20th.
Medina had earlier paced on the heat of the Quarterfinals against Australian Joel Parkinson with victory by 15.20 to 1.20. In the Semifinal, the Brazilian defeated John John, the current World Champion, by 16.40 to 16.00. In the other Semifinal, Zietz defeated the American Kolohe Andino by 16.26 to 14.00.
I'm very happy, almost speechless, this is a special place for me. I had a big event here, good waves and I'm actually very happy. I did not think of World Title, Ranking, I only wanted to have fun. I promised my father and myself that I would win at least one event in the year and I got - said the surfer from São Sebastião.
The Brazilian Miguel Pupo, who had eliminated the compatriots Adriano de Souza and Filipe Toledo, said goodbye in the Quarterfinals after being defeated by the deputy Champion Zietz, that overcame by 15.93 to 14.10
The second Brazilian placed in the Ranking is Adriano, in seventh, a position ahead of Toledo. Medina, with the conquest in France, jumped from the seventh place to the third. The World Champion in 2014 is the only hope of the Brazilians fans.
The mission, however is complicated. For becoming the leader, the surfer of São Paulo have to win in Portugal, the leader John John can not overcome the Round 3, and the deputy champion, Jordy Smith can not reach in the Quarterfinals.
