The third stage of World circuit of Surfing started on this Sunday, in Bali, in Indonesia with Filipe Toledo at a level over the rivals on the waves of Keramas. The Brazilian reached the best performance in the first day of competition, and the defending Champion of the stage Italo Ferreira won with ankle injury even. Gabriel Medina passed in difficult situation, but also garanteed the classification to the Round of 32 with a turn in the end of the heat.

Another 5 Brazilians also advanced on this Sunday: Yago Dora, Jadson André, Michael Rodrigues, Caio Ibelli, Peterson Crisanto. By the way Deivid Silva, Jessé Mendes and William Cardoso will have to pass by the Recap.

After clinched the vice championship in the stage of Bells Beach, Filipe Toledo showed that is one of the great favorites to clinch the title in Keramas. The Brazilian surfed the highest reverse aerial of the championship to reach the best score(9.00) and sum(16.17) of the day. Filipinho advanced with the also Brazilian Peterson Crisanto(10.40), sending the Australian Jacob Wilcox(7.60)to the Recap.

-It is dificult in the outside. It is small, with the waves breaking in two different places. I am happy that the small one came and had a good session to complete the aerial - commented Filipe about the wave he scored a 9.

Vice leader of the ranking, Italo debuted in the fourth heat with a anklet in the right foot because of a torsion that he suffered a week ago. If the defending Champion of Kerama's  stage competed feeling some kind of pain, it was not possible to note. The surfer of Rio Grande do Norte(RN)dominated the dispute against Caio Ibelli(BRA)and Ezequiel Lau(HAW)from the starting to the end. He surfed with power, fast and till tried na aerial full rotation, that was his brand of his campaign in the title of last year. With the total of 11.50 points, Italo won the heat, with the compatriota Caio Ibelli(8.97)advancing in second, and Lau(7.80) going to the Recap.

-I am very happy of coming back and to start well. I am very confidente. Last year I have one of my best moments here in Keramas and Let's try again. A week ago I injured my ankle training. It was not a serious injury, but my doctor came from Brazil, helped me and now I am ready - garanteed Italo, on the interview to World Surf League(WSL).

With the tide going down, the waves started to be scarce in the heat of the current two time World Champion. Gabriel Medina had difficulties in the the dispute against Deivid Silva and the Indonesian Rio Waida. The local surfer at 18 won the heat with the total of 9.60 points. Medina stayed great part of the dispute in the latest position and only guaranteed the classification in the final moments of the heat, with two waves that reached 9.54 points in the total, against 6.77 of Deivid, that went to the Recap.

Currente number 1 of the World, the Hawaiian  John John Florence opened the competition with a win over the Italian Leonardo Fioravanti and the Brazilian Michael Rodrigues(BRA), that also advanced to the Round of 32 in second position. The surfer of Rio Grando do Norte(RN)Jadson Andre also classified in the following heat, claimed by the South African Jordy Smith. Yago Dora defeated the Australians Owen Wright(2nd)and Soli Bailey(3rd).

After two straight stages in Austrália, the World Circuit of Surfing(CT)arrives in the island of Bali, in Indonesia, for the dispute of the third stage of the season with a new leader: John John florence. From this Sunday, the Hawaiian will enter the waves of Keramas with the yellow Jersey and three Brazilians behind by the the top 1 of surfing. The call to the start of competition will be at 19:30(Brasilia time).

The defending Champion of the stage, Ítalo Ferreira fell to the second position in the Ranking after 5th place in Bells Beach, while the two-time World Champion Gabriel Medina is in the fifth position. Vice Champion at the last stage after being defeated by John John in the Final, Filipe Toledo is now the top 4 in the World. In addition to the title race, the three dispute the two places of Brazil in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

-I was very excited after this second place in Bells. The expectation is the best. Keramas is a wave that I like very much, very high performance, fast, that I think sets on my surfing. (The Olympics)
It is always on my mind as a goal. Be training and try to do my best every time, at the end of the year I am able to get this place. said Filipinho.

Out of the stages, Silvana is recovered from the knee injury.

Filipinho will debut against the also Brazilian Peterson Crisanto and the Australian Jacob Willcox: Italo faces Ezekiel Lau(HAW)and Caio Ibelli(BRA), while Medina faces the compatriota Deivid Silva and the local Rio Waida. In the Women's championship Brazil will have the reinforcement of Silvana Lima. After being out of the first two stages because of a knee surgery, the surfer of Ceará(CE) is recovered and will join to Tatiana Weston-Webb to defend the yellow-green flag.

Two-time World Chapion, the Hawaiian John John Florence defeated the Brazilian Filipe Toledo in the Final, and clinched the title in Bells Beach, in Austrália, in the World Circuit of Surfing. However, it was necessary to hold the breath, because Filipinho, with the priority surfe the last wave on 10 seconds remaining to the final of the heat. The score of 5.90, however was not enough for the Brazilian , and Florence clinched the traditional thophy of Bells- so desired within the World Circuit
(14.30 x 13.83). The Hawaiian, also, took the leadership of World Championship from Italo Ferreira, that was eliminated in the Quarterfinals.

Now in the Ranking, John John Florence adds 16,085 points while the Brazilin Italo Ferreira(14.745) na the South African Jordy Smith -12,170. With the second place Filipe Toledo(11,110) the fourth and
Gabriel Medina, that was defeated in the Quarterfinals took place of the fifth position with 9.490 points.

-The third stage of the World Circuit will be hold in Bali, with the window between May 13 and 25th.
