-Brazilian decided the stage of Portugal against the Sosuth African Jordy Smith, got a 10 straight in the first wave and guarantees the second title of the stage. Besides that, takes the leadership of the Ranking at one stage before the end of the season.
The Ranking of World Championship of Surfing has a new leader. and is Brazilian! Ítalo Ferreira defeated the South African Jordy Smith, clinched the stage of Peniche of World Circuit, with right of a beautiful aerial score 10 straight in the first wave and took the spot in the dispute of the title of World Champion, that before was of the two-time World Champion Gabriel Medina.
Than, Ítalo goes to the last stage, in Pipeline, in Hawaii, between 8th to 20th of December, wearing the yellow jersey, mark of who is in the leadership. There will be Brazilians fighting by the Cup in the last dispute of the Circuit: Ítalo Ferreira, Gabriel Medina, and Filipe Toledo. Jordy Smith is the intruder out ou Brazilian storm.
The Brazilian entered in the Final in Portugal focused to do not give chances to the South African straight in the first opportunity surfed and excellent aerial taking a score 10 from the judges. In the second wave, received a 7.83, in more an aerial manuever. Jordy Smith realizes himself in a danger in the beginning and in no one moment got close.
Less than 15 minutes of the end, the Brazilian still extended the difference with more an excellent manuever, scoring an 8.43. With the sum going to 18.43, Smith needed a miracle to clinch the turn.
Fight for the Cup

Gabriel Medina, who led the race to the Cup and had the chance of being the Champion in Portugal, was eliminated in the Round of 16 to Caio Ibelli in a polemic decision of interference.
