=======

Gabriel Medina(BRA) is the only Brazilian that does not depend on himself for being champion, he needs to reach at least at the Semifinal and cheer against the adversaries.
--------------------------------------

Among them, the Australlian, Mick Fanning, three times World Champion also passed over the Round 1

--------------------------------------

The year of Gabriel was irregular and in the fifth stage in Fiji, -a  thud, besides being soon defeated he received the news that his grandfather, Mr. Jaime had died.

---------------------------------------

Simone Medina-  Mother of Gabriel Medina(BRA)
-They were very close too, they did everything together, Gabriel took him to the barbecue of the friends.

---------------------------------------

Charles Rodrigues - Stepfather of Gabriel Medina(BRA)
-The life is not a dream, I think are these nudgings that we take in life that sometimes back the athlete, a top athlete like him, ends helping.

----------------------------------------

From then on, Gabriel started to react , won the stage in France and dedicated to his grandfather.
In Pipeline, Medina advanced soon in the competition.

------------------------------------------

Adriano de Souza, the Mineirinho, defeated the Australian at 17 years old Jack Robinson in the Recap, was tough, but Adriano won by six tenths and is the fight for the title.

-------------------------------------------

Adriano de Souza(BRA) - Third in the World Ranking
-Can be sure that I will no bow the head to anyone and if the wave comes, if God willing, I will do the tube.

--------------------------------------------

Filipe Toledo also did not reach the classification in the Round 1, was defeated by less than three tenths and was discontented with the grade.

--------------------------------------------

The parents of Felipe, Mrs. Mari and Mr. Ricardinho suffered in the Recap.
The father indicated, shouted and did noise while the mother tried to hold on herself, but the son gave a show, surfed beautiful waves and ran over the Hawaiian Bruce Irons(HAW), than was just joy.

--------------------------------------------

Filipe Toledo - Second in the World Ranking
-From the moment that my family has come I am feeling much more smoothly.

---------------------------------------------

The Brazilian surf may celebrate another world title soon in the next heat,  the Australian will face Jamie O'Brien that is an expert  in Pipeline and even already won here in 2004;
If the Australian is defeated for him, automatically the champion will be one of the three Brazilians:

---------------------------------------------

Filipe Toledo(BRA, Adriano de Souza(BRA)and Gabriel Medina(BRA) each one for himself and everyone for Brazil.

On the tube: Jamie O'Brien has the wave of Pipeline as the backyard of his house

THE HAWAIIAN MAY MAKE THE PARTY OF BRAZILIANS

Polemical and talented, Jamie O'Brien will face Mick Fanning in the Round 3 in Pipeline WCT

Renato de Alexandrino
renato.alexandrino@oglobo.com.br

From persona non grata in Brazil the surfer may give 2015 World Title for a Brazilian. This is Jamie O'Brien, Hawaiian at 32 years old, polemical, talented on the tubes of Pipeline and adversary of Mick Fanning in the Round 3 at last stage of WCT.

If defeats Fanning, Jamie that competes as Wild Card, ends with the chances of  the Australian. The dispute for the Cup would be  Brazilian one among Filipe Toledo, Adriano de Souza and Gabriel Medina, with the Australian Julian Wilson running out , needs to win the stage and to cheer for  premature defeats of Brazilians.

Jamie O'Brien has Pipeline literally as the backyard of his house, because he lives on the beach in front of the most famous wave in the world. Winner of Pipe WCT in 2004, the Hawaiian never interested  in competing the World Circuit. Tough critical of  Surf League, is paid for traveling around the world pursuiting for perfect waves and collects followers on Socials Networks with videos that challenges big waves with water floats or how the one he showed up surfing in Tahiti with body on fire.

FIGHT WITH RICARDINHO

Two years ago, Jamie won the antipathy of Brazilian surfing fans at fighting with Ricardo dos Santos during the Trials of WCT in Tahiti. The two disputed a wave and finished trading punches in the water. Both were fined and suspended by Surf League. Jamie posted a photo on Social Networks apologizing to Ricardo. In  January of this year, when the Brazilian was shot dead by a Military Police  in the beach of Guarda do Embaú, in Santa Catarina, the Hawaiian did a tribute on Social Networks.

Staying at house of Jamie O'brien, Adriano de Souza has already declared before the opening of the event that counts with the help of the Hawaiian as out of the water, with tips about how to dominate the tubes of Pipe, as in the water.

-He is sensational on the waves in Pipeline and I always watching how he surfs here, but I think the way he could help me more would be passing through the Trials and defeating one of the favorites of Championship.

The desire of Adriano , and also of Filipe, Medina and all Brazilians fans- may be come true on Tuesday, when there is forecast of good waves and the stage will restart. Yesterday, the event was postponed.

2015 BILLABONG PIPE MASTERS OVERVIEW - Round 2 by surfworldtour.blogspot.com

2015 BILLABONG PIPE MASTERS OVERVIEW-Round 2/by surfworldtour.blogspot.com

My debut in surfing competitions was in Praia do Rosa -Santa Catarina, Brazil, in Seletiva Petrobras de Surf Masculino, in March of 2008, when Messias Felix(CE)-Ceará is a state from Brazil- won the event; so I still have to learn many things about it, but I realize that heats of three men, are so different from man to man heats.

Round 1 was three men dispute, as the Round 4, but the Round 2 is man to man battle.

ROUND 2 - Dec. 11th, 2015

In this Round, the heats ocurred simultaneously, with difference around 15 minutes.
For instance, when the heat 5 finished, the heat 6 still in progress, and started the heat 7. So both heats were in progress, and so successively.

The surfer that win the heat pass to Round 3, and the surfer that is defeated is out of the stage.

heat 1
average wave score  -  4.83                        /   the best wave -7.23 (5)  -F. Toledo(BRA)

In this opening heat of Round 2, F. Toledo(BRA)surfed better today, and defeated the Hawaiian B. Irons(HAW)score 7.00 and later 7.23 added up 14.23 and B. Irons(HAW) did not find the waves, just added up 5.07. So F. Toledo is into Round 3, and B. Irons(HAW) is out of the dispute.

heat 2
average wave score  -   6.24                      /   the best wave - 8.77 (2) - T. Burrow(AUS)

B. Simpson(USA)in his opening wave score 7.00 and T. Burrow(AUS)score 5.00 in his opening wave, and later on turned the heat with a good wave 8.77 and turned the heat. The North American replaced his 1.17 for a score 4.20 -weak wave- and was defeated by the Australian surfer, and is out of this stage. T. Burrow(AUS) is guaranteed to Round 3.

heat 3
average wave score  -    6.40                     /  the best wave  -  8.27 (6) - A. de Souza(BRA)

The Wild card - Trials winner - J. Robinson in his opening wave of the heat score just 0.57 and A. de Souza(BRA) turned the heat with a 4.83 wave and later replaced the score 1.10 for a 3.93.
After on J. Robinson(AUS) his weak wave for a 7.33 score and later turned the heat, but at final minutes A. de Souza(BRA)turned the heat again with a good wave 8.27. After J. Robinson(AUS)replaced a weak wave for 5.67 but was not enough. A. de Souza(BRA)added up 13.10 won the heat, and passed to Round 3. J. Robinsons(AUS) 12.50 and is out of stage.

heat 4
average wave score  -    4.99                     / the best wave  -   8.83 (2) - A. Melling(AUS)

In the second battle between Australian surfers, J. Wilson(AUS)in his opening wave score 5.00 and later 7.83. He was surfing better today. The Wild Card - W.
