Choose well is the secret

Scenario of last stage of World Circuit of Surfing, that started this Wednesday, the Pipeline Beach, in Hawaii, daybreak yesterday with waves around 6-to-8 feet(1.5 m to 2.5m), with big occasional series, and the conditions were not amazing. But, with the wind offshore entry, they were getting better during the day. Current champion, the Brazilian Gabriel Medina surfed so much in the first round, chose well the waves and smashed. He did a spetacular heat and was the winner. He is a strong competitor and knows Pipeline as nobody. Another that was excellent was the Australian Mick Fanning(photo), that won his heat, surfing high tubes. Both advanced directly to third round, what take some of the pressure in the fight for World Championship. They stayed at situation so more comfortable, both physical and psychological, than the other candidates to title.

Out of the fight for world championship, Brazil had another highlight yesterday: Ítalo Ferreira, that competed for the first time in Pipeline and won his heat. I watched amazing tubes of him. A beautiful left, he stayed there inside...Ítalo really deserves congratulations. It is hard to stand out on the first day of competition with the sea in difficult conditions. You have select well the wave: it is fundamental. Aloha!

ON THE TUBE

FORECAST With forecast of big waves to next days, Pipeline may show diverse conditions: may be a classic day, perfect: may be scrambled, cavernous and hard to choose the waves: or may be calm, with medium waves and surfing show. Let's see how the sea is going to behave during the window of competition, which runs until the next day 20.
