In final stage of 2014, Gabriel Medina(BRA) was the first Brazilian World Champion of Surfing in Pipeline, Hawaii; in 2015, Adriano de Souza(BRA), was the second Brazilian World Champion of Surfing in Hawaii, in the most famous stage of World Circuit of Surfing.
I have already lived in San Francisco, California; Chicago, Illinois; and New York City, New York. So in beggining of 2016, I did my 4th passport and I applied for the Visa in Rio de Janeiro too, and took my 4th American Visa...After the contest in France, Gabriel Medina(BRA)was so behind of John John Florence(HAW)then I supposed the dispute for the title of the season might be in Hawaii again. So I bought the airplane ticket from São Paulo(SP) to Los Angeles(CA) to Dec.05th and would arrive there the next day, than I would search a cheap flight in some local companies to Honolulu(HAW). The stage in Pipeline would start December 8th.
However, in final of October at 10th stop of the World Circuit of Surfing, John John Florence(HAW)won the contest in Portugal and clinched the World Title for anticipation. I was not sad for this. John John Florence(HAW)was the 2016 World Champion of Surfing for the first time because he deserved.He surfed very well the last season and was in excellent shape and took more risks in manuevers too. So I left my flight to Los Angeles(CA) in "stand by" for while...I wish to go to Califonia(USA) in final of July to the contest of Women's - Vans US Open of Surfing in Hungtinton Beach, and then work in Trestles contests of Men's -Hurley Pro; and Swatch Women's Pro simultaneously in September and than stay there editing my blog and site; awaiting the results of France and Portugal contests, about wheter go or not to Hawaii.
Now everything is ready, passport, Visa, Video Camera, and airline ticket...It is just waiting for...I was in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro for the third time in the biggest outdoor Reveillon in the world. I intend to stay here awaiting the
"swell' and go to Saquarema contest, and improve my surf videos in Itauna Beach, where will be the 2017 World Surf League contest in Brazil. And in June after the stage of Saquarema, come back to my hometown in Rio Grande do Sul, to rest for while. Meet my friends, set up my luggage and make some arrangments before travelling overseas. I would like to thank all the community of surfing all over the world for accessing my blog. My small blog of surfing started with just twenty(20)accesses per month in 2010, and now has around 100 to 250 accesses(
223 yesterday) per day and more than
34,169 from 2010 till 2017, Feb 08th.. The most important is what I have learned and the nice people I knew in these ten years of surfing, and what I still have to learn about surfing videos.This year I intend to write my first screenplay of a "Surfing Movie". My Facebook has many posts of "
the most beautiful sport" from surfers from all over the world. Every night I like to see the photos and watch the videos, but I have never posted anything on Social Networks yet.
After a period of depression, fortunately in the last day of September of 2016 I discovered a new inspiration to travel long distances, take photos, shoot videos, edit them, prepare posts, overviews, versions, write scripts, everything for myself; keep working most times all night along. I hope this year everything will be OK, mainly my health, the most important thing we have for while...
I have already changed the layout of my site
